The Oil City Library enlisted JW Architecture to design renovations aimed at restoring an abandoned second-level Assembly Hall that had served primarily as storage for decades. Previous renovations had further diminished the space's original grandeur by converting part of it into a research room.
JW Architecture's designs focused on returning the Assembly Hall to its original size while meticulously restoring walls, floors, ceilings, lighting, and other aesthetic elements. Historic features, including stained-glass windows, gas lights, and wood trim, were carefully restored as part of the project. Additionally, a new servery was constructed to support event catering with essential kitchen appliances, along with newly developed handicap-compliant restrooms to enhance accessibility.
